Spanish ICU Doctor: This isn’t hell, it’s purgatory

Coronavirus, Europe, Health, Spain

A quarter of Spanish ICUs are occupied by patients with covid-19

“Intensive care units (ICU) in Spain are shaking again. History repeats itself. Like in spring, when they were stunned to attend an avalanche of patients with an unknown virus that they didn’t even know how to treat. ICU staff have once again been on their guard – if they ever stopped being so – to face the second wave of the pandemic. Perhaps more self-confident; also more tired.”
